2009 Harley Davidson Sportster XR1200

Originally conceived by Harley-Davidson designers as bike tailored to the European market back in 2008, the new XR1200 received a lot of positive mention in various motorcycles publications and caused a hue and cry among US Sportster owners who wanted one for themselves. Never know to let their customers down, the powers-that-be chose to release the XR1200 in North America in 2009. This bike has a racing blood running through its veins from its silver powder-coated engine, to its narrow frame, to its mid-mounted footpegs. Much of this racer’s personality is drawn from the old XR-750, one the most successful dirt track racing bikes of all time, the Harley-Davidson XR1200 is now poised to boost adrenalin levels on streets, roads and highways around the world.
