The 2009 Sportster 883 Custom continues to enjoy the warm reception showered on it by new and experienced Harley-Davidson riders alike. While it shares much in common with the other members of the Sportster family, it has a unique set of features that sets it apart.
Still present is the 883cc engine. While it is the smaller of the two Sportster power plants, it has all the torque that it needs to stay nimble on it’s feet. Also, the six speed transmission and Electronic Fuel Injection system combine to give it better performance and fuel consumption than ever before.
The exterior styling points are what really make this motorcycle stand out. They include a silver powder-coated engine and transmission, chrome shorty exhaust, a larger front wheel, full rear fender, forward-mounted footpegs, and a bullet headlamp. Made available in nine colors and shown here in Red Hot Sunglow/Smokey Gold.
