2009 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob
First Reviewed August 20, 2009 Found in Dyna, Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Reviews
Setting at the heavier end of the Dyna family, the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob is a V-Twin cruiser that retains much of the nimble maneuverability of the more lightweight models in the line up. Led by twin headlights braced between polished triple clamps, this is one motorcycle that has an unmistakable street presence.
Among the bike’s top features is the one that nobody could possibly miss, the beating and powerfully sounding heart also knows as the Twin Cam 96 engine. The bike’s centerpiece and a work of art itself - the motor - is fuel injected so it will not only provide the unmistakably grunty engine torque of 92 ft. lbs. but ensure low fuel consumption and great responsiveness making this bike ready for either back roads or a city cruise. The six-speed transmission channels power to the solid cast aluminum disc wheels with authority and enhances the fuel-sipping nature of this bike.

Rake and trail (29° / 4.92 in.) is more aggressive than on the rest of the Dyna models Harley-Davidson makes and that, together with the low center of gravity, work together to maintain the good cornering abilities that the Fat Bobs are known for regardless of the bike’s size.
On the outside you'll notice the 2-1-2 collector exhaust, the low-profile tank mounted console, bobtail rear fender, stainless steel "drag" handlebars, and either front or mid-mounted foot pegs. The low seat height of only 26.1 inches might manage to make the Fat Bob look like the ride of everyone, but once you become aware of the massive stature and 703 lbs wet weight, it will be once again clear that Harleys are destined to serious riders with serious demands from their bikes. It’s impossible to take your eyes away from black powder-coated V-Twin motor with its polished rocker boxes featured prominently. Above that, the shiny new speedometer looks cool too sitting in between the two gas caps on the 5-gallon "Fat Bob" fuel tank. All of these elements together make this one Dyna which always stands out in a crowd.
The Dyna Fat Bob is available in five color choices in 2009. The new elective is Red Hot Sunglo and carry over choices are Black Pearl, Black Denim, Pewter Denim, and (as shown here) Vivid Black.Reviews of the 2009 Harley-Davidson Dyna Fat Bob can be found below.
