Harley-Davidson Dyna Reviews

When people look at the Harley-Davidson Dyna, there is a tendency to confuse the motorcycle with another member of the H-D family. The Dyna can be misconstrued as a Sportster because of its overall styling and coil-over rear suspension and it also can be mistaken for a Softail because of its Big V-Twin engine. In truth, the Dyna merges together the nature of these two platforms to produce an aggressive street bike that is sure to get noticed.

In the middle of the 20th century, Harley-Davidson motorcycles became iconographic for America's “Bad Boy Image”. While this has faded a bit over the years many customers, frustrated with their cubicle filled prisons, seek out the Harley-Davidson experience in an effort to, at least for a while, release their inner Rebel Without a Cause. Members of the Dyna lineup fit this bill perfectly.

Dyna motorcycles are fashioned to model the classic stripped-down street bike. Elements such as the windshield and large bore front forks are absent, but aggressive styling is present in a big way. Trimming unneeded extras means that the Dyna is nearly as affordable as the Sportster. The larger Big Twin engine means that you get more performance out of a Harley-Davidson Dyna, but the increased power comes at additional cost...but not too much.

The bikes are low on frills but over the years Harley-Davidson has managed to inject a high degree of comfort in the Dyna's overall ride quality. Not at the same level as you might find on a Touring motorcycle of course, but then again most riders who are interested in the Dyna are not looking for a two-wheeled Cadillac.
